I can quite remember mums baking day whenever she made a meat pie. Whenever mum made meat pies, my brother and I use to get quite excited. It wasn't because of the meatpie, that was nice. It was more to do with the leftover pastry. We would often fight over this, sometimes there was loads, sometimes there was not much. Mum would often make sure we all had some pastry to make something with, if not whoever did not have it that time would have it next time, mum made a good diplomat. Some of us would make biscuits, some jam tarts, it always involved sugar.
